A new look for www.stanley.com.au

The new Circular Head Tourism website has now officially been launched. With changes to both the visual look and feel of the site, and the technical structure we aim to see improved results for the site in search engines and with attracting and converting bookings. Below we have outline some information on how the site has changed.

Google now has more love for stanley.com.au

Constraints in the old software meant the old site was 'trying' hard to get ranked in Google and search engines but due to technical limitations with the content management system - CMS, no matter how hard it tried, it never really broke through into the high rankings. The new CMS is geared for search and even with the same information on the site, we expect to see large improvements.

More search results means more search traffic

Google users searching by a business name will now be more likely to find our site included in the search listings for their business. This is particularly good for operators who do not have their own business website. In addition if an operator has other general web directory lisitings, they can use the web site address from stanley.com.au as a direct link for people to find information on your business.

A more flexible web site structure gives greater flexibility for innovation and enhancement

This launch is the first step to improving the online markeitng of the Circular Head region. We now have the ability to integrate STDW information, create new targeted pages of content, increase traffic using social media links and start considering many more opportunities for members over time. It's the online marketing makeover that we were long due for and we thank all of our members for their patience and support in getteing to this point.

Cooperative Campaign - Facebook Where is it Wednesdays

'Where is it Wednesdays' is a fun spring campaign to raise the regions profile in the Facebook community and get some conversation happening between locals and visitors about some quirky places and interesting stories in Circular Head. The campaign will run on www.facebook.com/#!/stanleytasmania but will generate activity on everyone's pages. The campaign is designed from evidence that the highest activity, conversation and impressions on our facebook are clearly when an interesting photo is posted.

For 12 Wednesdays over spring, a photo will be posted with prizes to the first response that correctly state where (or what) the photo is of and can provide an interesting piece of information about the site. Circular Head Tourism will contribute prizes by way of Gift Vouchers. Members using Facebook to promote their business are invited to partner in the campaign by offering prizes-please phone Jason on 6458 1330 to discuss.

If you're not already following us, please 'like' us at www.facebook.com/#!/stanleytasmania and if you're a Tourism Member, we'll repost your news when relevant.
